Conducting Class Now Accepting Applications

The class accepts up to 14 student conductors who lead performances during the weekday Discovery Series of lecture-concerts. The repertoire for this year’s series consists of the six cantatas of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio.

Conducting applicants are asked to submit various audition materials, including videos of themselves at work conducting performances and rehearsals.

Auditors are also asked to fill out application materials, although auditors are accepted on a space available basis, not by audition.

In addition to the Discovery Series concerts, participants attend full days of seminars, class sessions, and observe rehearsals and OBF main event performances.
