B Minor Mass filmed for multimedia projectJune 26, 2010
The project will focus on Helmuth Rilling’s lecture demonstrations and master class rehearsals, augmented by interviews with Rilling as he discusses Bach’s masterwork. Another component is a series of interactive study guides developed by Tim Smith, a University of Oregon graduate and professor at Northern Arizona University who specializes in creative explorations of Bach’s music. To be filmed and edited by Pushplay Productions, the finished programs will be hosted on the OBF web site, a first step toward expanding the site into an educational resource hosting a variety of content. This project is being fully funded by a gift from Hal Hinkle, a Conductor’s Society member whose generosity also endowed the Festival’s Hinkle Distinguished Lecture and Seminar. |
