Boris Kleiner holds a master of arts in musicology and in organ and piano performance and a PhD in music theory from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. After further studies in Basel and Paris, he moved to Germany and has performed as an organist, harpsichordist, and continuo player in Europe, Israel, and the United States. Kleiner has appeared with the Vienna and Munich philharmonic orchestras and in many performances with OBF. Since 1990 he has been a continuo player with Bach-Collegium Stuttgart and a member of various period instrument groups. He currently teaches at Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
