Barbi McLain

  • Associate Director of Development

Barbi McLain is delighted to return to the University of Oregon, where she earned her undergraduate degree and first fell in love with Eugene. Originally from Wyoming, Barbi transferred to UO as a trombonist and music education major but ultimately received her degree in English. She completed graduate school at Western Washington University and taught writing at the college-level for a number of years before pivoting to a career in non-profit development and administration. While working in the non-profit health and human services sector, Barbi developed extensive experience in grant writing, special event coordination, donor cultivation, and corporate sponsorship. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute her unique combination of skills, experience, and lifelong love of music in support of the Oregon Bach Festival mission. In her free time, Barbi enjoys cooking, shopping at the farmer’s market, attending local concerts and festivals, and exploring Oregon’s natural beauty. As the parent of a teenager heavily involved in the performing arts, she is passionate about youth and access to arts education in the community.
