Brian Giebler

  • Vocal Fellow

Concerts: St. John Passion, Berwick Academy: Venus & Adonis

Garnering praise for his “most impressive… bright, clear tone and lively personality” (New York Times), Brian Giebler is a “faultless high tenor” (Seattle Times) with “great elegance of tone and phrasing” (Baltimore Sun). From Evangelist in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with The Choir of Trinity Wall Street (of which he is a member) under Julian Wachner to Stravinsky's Threni with The Cleveland Orchestra under Franz Welser-Möst at Severance Hall, Mr. Giebler’s “voix plus que remarquables” (Le Devoir) is well-suited to a variety of music. He has been a soloist with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, American Classical Orchestra, New York City Chamber Orchestra (Carnegie Hall), Apollo’s Fire, Seraphic Fire, GRAMMY® Award winning Conspirare, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, and the Saginaw Bay Orchestra. Last year, Mr. Giebler was a finalist in the Tafelmusik International Vocal Competition, a semi-finalist in the American Traditions Competition, and received Honorable Mention at the Biennial Bach Vocal Competition. www.BrianGiebler.com
