Concerts: The Protecting Veil and Howells Requiem

Cellist Andrew Yee has been praised by Michael Kennedy of the London Telegraph as “spellbindingly virtuosic…remember that you heard [his] name here first.” He is a founding member of the internationally acclaimed Attacca Quartet, first prize winners of the Coleman and Osaka international string quartet competitions. They have recorded the complete string quartet works of John Adams and Haydn's "Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross" which was arranged from the Oratorio version by Mr. Yee for string quartet. They have been featured on the NPR Tiny Desk series, opened for ELO, were in residence at the Met Museum, and have played in concert halls around the world. He also enjoys making stop motion videos of food with the quartet as a soundtrack, and heads the coffee program for Atla, a Mexican restaurant by Enrique Olvera who's restaurant Pujol is #20 on the Pellegrino 50 best restaurants in the world list. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School.
