Edward Maclary

Edward Maclary is the Director of Choral Activities at the University of Maryland. He has served as chorus master for Matthew Halls and for conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, Iván Fischer, Marin Alsop, Masaaki Suzuki, Robert Shaw. He also prepared UMD choirs for Helmuth Rilling for performances of the St. Matthew Passion, Die Schöpfung, and Elijah. Choirs under his direction have toured throughout the world and been awarded top prizes in multiple European competitions. In great demand as a pedagogue, Edward Maclary has presented conducting master classes at the Eastman School of Music, Westminster Choir College, and Indiana University.
