FAME, Beta Collide headline Bach Remix 5

Headline performers are F.A.M.E. (Fresh Analog Music Experience), a Bay Area collective of hip hop producers/scratch DJs; new music ensemble Beta Collide; and local scratch DJs Celsius and Connah Jay. Bach Remix 5 takes place Thursday June 24th at the area's newest nightclub, Cowfish, located at 62 W. Broadway. OBF cofounder wins national choral award

Royce Saltzman, OBF co-founder & director emeritus, will be the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from Chorus America, the nation’s leading service organization for the choral community. The award is given to a member whose long-term service to the choral field is judged to have significantly furthered the organization’s mission “to build a dynamic and inclusive choral community so that more people are transformed by the beauty and power of choral singing.” Announced Thursday May 13, the award will be presented June 18 during Chorus America’s annual conference in Atlanta.
