OBF conductors lead yule Messiahs

OBF conductors Helmuth Rilling (on radio) and Matthew Halls (live in Houston, Texas) can be heard this week in seasonal performances of Handel's Messiah. In Eugene, KWAX radio 91.1 FM (and streaming online) airs the New York Philarmonic's seasonal syndicated broadcast Wednesday, December 19 at 8 pm. Helmuth Rilling conducts the New York Philharmonic in a rousing rendition of Handel's classic, featuring soloists Annette Dasch, soprano; Daniel Taylor, countertenor; James Taylor, tenor; and Shenyang, bass, along with the G├Ąchinger Kantorei Stuttgart. Matthew Halls, OBF artistic director designate, conducts the Houston Symphony, chorus, and soloists in four performances Thursday-Sunday December 20-23. Thursday's concert is at the Sugarland Baptist Church; all others at Jones Hall in Houston. Read All
