Wishing Jeff the best

  • Oct 1, 2010
Jeffrey Kahane, an OBF fan favorite and top-notch pianist and conductor, is recovering from mononucleosis, diagnosed in July. Jeff withdrew from an appearance with the Oregon Symphony scheduled for October 9-11.  David Stabler of the Oregonian published this statement from Jeff's management:

"Mr. Kahane was diagnosed with mononucleosis in early July and ordered by his doctors not to work or travel throughout the  summer. Upon further medical consultation, his doctors have advised him that he is not sufficiently recovered to resume his scheduled performance activities but there is every expectation that he should be soon."

We wish Jeff the best for a full recovery and look forward to hearing his wonderful artistry in the months and years ahead. Read All
