Free Events: 16 ways to get involved

  • Jun 17, 2013

Every summer, Oregon Bach Festival provides a plethora of free concerts, lectures, and pre-concert talks to the community.  This year is no exception, with free events happening almost daily throughout the Festival.  Our On The House concert series kicks off Saturday, June 29 with a performance by the Oregon Percussion Ensemble, sure to delight with their thumping renditions of modern classical percussion chamber music.

The series continues Wednesday, July 3 with the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy soloists showcasing their talents.  Friday, July 5 features Toby Koenigsberg Jazz Trio playing a lively swinging set. Koeningsberg serves as assistant professor of jazz piano and associate director of Jazz Studies at University of Oregon.

Finally, don't miss the award winning Calgary Girls Choir performing Saturday, July 6. Appearing alongside CGC is the Immaculate Heart of Mary Children's Choir.

All On The House events take place at 1 pm in the Hult Center Lobby, and sponsored by Oregon Urology Institute. Premier violinist Chee-Yun follows on Monday, July 8, and the series concludes with OBF Artistic Director Designate Matthew Halls on Friday, July 12. All three sessions take place at noon in Hult Center's Soreng Theater.
