They’re young, they’re among the best in the country, and they can energize a hall (or a church) with the kind of brilliant, joyous sound that will lift your soul. They’re the 85 singers of the Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy, in concert next Wednesday, July 8 at Eugene’s First United Methodist Church. With Matthew Halls and Helmuth Rilling as guest conductors, they’ll sing music by Handel, Bach, Bernstein, Eric Whitacre, and traditionals like “This Little Light of Mine” under the inspiring direction of Anton Armstrong. Youth tickets $10.
