New CM@B Season Launches with Montrose Trio

Classical music lovers may not recognize the Montrose Trio by name, but will certinly know their music from recordings and the concert hall. Piano virtuoso Jon Kimura Parker has joined forces with Martin Beaver and Clive Greensmith, members of the reknowned Tokyo String Quartet, to create a new dynamic ensemble featuring the exciting piano trio repertory.

ChamberMusic@Beall audiences will get their first chance to hear them on Sunday, October 4, 2015 when they perform a program of masterpieces that demonstrate why the piano trio is such an effective and popular ensemble. Opening with a trio by Haydn, the inventor of the genre, Montrose will also perform passionate works by Shostakovich and Mendelssohn. This will be a thrilling concert and a superb launch to the 2015-16 season. Tickets are available now at the Hult Center box office.
