Master Class in Conducting: Auditing
While the conducting positions are limited and filled only through audition, anyone may attend the class as an auditor. This is a great opportunity for anyone wanting to learn from the skilled artists of OBF and be immersed within the excitement of the Festival.
Auditors and conductors attend all classes and seminars, participate in class discussions, and receive all class benefits, including tickets to most OBF concerts and events. Auditors also have the option to attend the Festival for less time and cost than the full schedule.
Who should consider being an auditor?
- Conductors planning to audition in the future
- Musicians who don’t have access to the ensembles needed to produce an audition
- Anyone who loves music and is interested in the craft of conducting
- Conductors who want to attend, but can’t commit to the full three-week class
Auditing—full and partial sessions
Auditing sessions are available for the full two-week term of the class, or shorter partial sessions. Costs include room and board and a class fee.
Tuition for full class (6/23 - 7/13): $1,100
Partial tuition per day: $65 (no charge for 7/4, 12 or 13)
Auditors can either book room & board in OBF housing or find their own accommodations. OBF housing runs $79 per night for a single room or $66 per night for a double room per person.
To reserve your place in the class, simply print (or fill out electronically) the Master Class Auditor Application.
