[caption id="attachment_5301" align="alignright" width="240" caption="Monica Huggett and PBO, sold out in Eugene, but tickets available in Portland, Bend, Ashland."][/caption] The Festival launched its opening weekend with sold out performances on its first two nights, and now adds to the list two more sell outs:  tonight's performance of Schola Cantorum de Venezuela in Beall Hall, and the June 30 Dido and Aeneas concert in Eugene with Monica Huggett and the Portland Baroque Orchestra. If you had hoped to catch those concerts, there's still good news, if you're up for a drive: tickets are available for the July 6 performance by the Schola Cantorum in Portland, and each of the Dido and Aeneas concerts in Portland, Bend, and Ashland. In addition, the Schola choir performs with the OBF forces in the Brahms Requiem June 26, Joan of Arc July 2, and in the closing weekend concerts, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in Portland and Eugene. Other concerts approaching sold out status:
  • Discovery Cantata 19, June 27
  • Bach and Britten Cello Suites Part 1 with Alban Gerhardt, June 27
  • Bernstein Cabaret "We are Women" hosted by Leonard Bernstein's daughter Jamie, July 5
