The piano-playing Fab Five are Bach for more!

  • May 23, 2012
After two packed houses in 2007 and 2008, those piano-shredding siblings The 5 Browns return to the Oregon Bach Festival on Thursday, July 12 at 7:30 PM in Silva Concert Hall. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Hult Center and UO ticket offices. Prices range from $15 to $38 for the general public and are $10 with a student ID. Having been dubbed the “Fab Five” by People magazine, all five members of this quintet attended the Julliard School, the largest group of family members to ever be accepted. The Festival is thrilled to be able to welcome back such a talented group. Along with their Thursday night performance, they’ll be holding a free Q & A session as part of the "Let's Talk" OBF Community series, July 11 at 12 PM in The Studio at the Hult Center. Since their last OBF appearance, the siblings have been keeping busy with touring, recording and even writing their own book. Their most recent album, The 5 Browns...In Hollywood, was released during the spring of 2010, making it their fifth album to date. And it's Hollywood that their magical OBF performance will conjure, with a film-inspired program that will include Over the Rainbow, a thrilling Alfred Hitchcock movie suite, and a medley of themes from Star Wars. See the OBF concert event page for complete program information. Read All
