The Oregon Bach Festival depends on numerous grants supporting special projects and general operations, and recognizes these foundations as key supporters of the festival.

HINKLE CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

The Hinkle Charitable Foundation exists to advocate for musical, environmental, and nutritional education. The Foundation generously provided endowment funding for the distinguished lecture series, which is open to both the public and students participating in OBF Master Classes at the Oregon Bach Festival. Additionally, HCF provided funding for the development of The Digital Bach Project, a collection of multi-media educational presentations focused on great works of Bach and housed on the Oregon Bach Festival website.

NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS

The National Endowment for the Arts supports the commissioning of original work by James MacMillan for the Oregon Bach Festival. The commissioned work will be presented at the 2016 OBF Festival. The NEA is committed to making the arts a vital centerpiece of American life throughout the nation and to encourage the investment in the very things that make this country great: creativity, inspiration, and hard work.

OREGON ARTS COMMISSION

For almost a decade, the Oregon Arts Commission has awarded operating support grants that enable the Festival to provide public access to programs throughout the Festival. For over 40 years, the Commission has fostered the arts with recognition of the expanding role the arts play in social, economic, and educational arenas of Oregon communities. OAC is supported with general funds appropriated by the Oregon Legislature, federal funds from the National Endowment for the Arts, and funds from the Oregon Cultural Trust.

OREGON CULTURAL TRUST

The Oregon Cultural Trust is a model program for public support of arts and culture, and a long-standing supporter of OBF. When you make a gift to the Oregon Bach Festival, please consider making a matching gift to the Oregon Cultural Trust. Oregon residents can claim up to the entire contribution to the Trust as a tax credit, reducing your Oregon state tax bill. For more information, please visit the Trust at http://www.culturaltrust.org.

THE OREGON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Arts Foundation of Western Oregon Fund, administered by The Oregon Community Foundation, has supported OBF with grants from the Nils and Jewel Hult Foundation for the 2015 Seven Deadly Sins Concert with Storm Large, and from the Silva Endowment for operational funding. The Arts Foundation was established in 1997 to support the arts, sustain artistic creativity, and build a more vibrant local arts community in Lane County. The Hult Endowment supports performances in the Hult Center, and the Silva Endowment provides assistance to area performing arts organizations so that they may continue to serve the artistic needs of our community.

THE REED FOUNDATION

The Reed Foundation generously underwrites the organ programs of the Oregon Bach Festival including the Organ Institute, so that organists accepted to participate in the Institute are able to attend tuition free and with no cost for housing.
